ALANNA RECORDS SIGNS MICHAEL ROSE ORCHESTRA TO CONTRACT!

Alanna Records and Etson Music Corporation announced today that they have signed Palm Beach’s regionally famous Michael Rose Orchestra to a limited term world wide distribution contract. Bill Lawrence, president of Alanna, plans to issue their first release of fourteen Michael Rose original dance band renditions including the Bunny Berrigan classic, “I Can’t Get Started,” Harry James’, “Sleepy Lagoon,” and Sinatra’s “All the Way” sometime in October.

The compact disc recording entitled “Rose Colored Classics” will mark a slight departure for the Pittsburgh based recording company which has exclusively produced recordings of major jazz orchestras including the world renowned Spitfire Band. While the Rose band often exhibits its jazz prowess at concerts and night clubs, it is most recognized for its ability to get an entire gala audience to its feet setting dance tempos at The Breakers or Donald Trump’s Mar A Lago.

“It’s clear that Michael Rose has a love affair with his trumpet, both tender and tempestuous, whether playing beautifully crafted warm solos, or working with his brass section that just barely keeps the roof on by a thread, his wonderfully distinctive sound is a Michael Rose signature,” remarks producer Lawrence.

The new recording will be issued as South Florida’s favorite big band will be officially opening the season Monday, October 13 providing music for weekly dinner and dancing engagements at The Pavilion of The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida.
